Which personal data we collect & why
Comments
In order to detect unwanted messages, when visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data displayed in the comments form as well as the visitor’s IP address and the browser’s user string.
An anonymous string, created by your email address (also called “hash”), may be provided to Gravatar, in order to see if you are using it. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public, as part of your comment.
Media
If you are uploading images to the site, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Website visitors can download and export any site data from images on the site.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our website, you can choose to save your name, email address and website, to cookies. This is for your own convenience, so you don’t have to fill in your details again, if you want to leave another comment later. These cookies will be active for a year.
If you have an account and log into the site, we will create a temporary cookie in order to determine if your browser accepts cookies. The cookie does not contain personal information and will be deleted as soon as you quit your browser.
When you sign in, we will also create various cookies to save the login information and screen options. Input cookies last for two days and display options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember me”, your connection will remain for two weeks. If you log out of your account, all cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in the browser. This cookie does not contain personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Articles on this site may contain embedded content (eg videos, images, articles, etc.). Built-in content from other sites behaves in exactly the same way as if the visitor visited the other site.

How long we keep your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are kept indefinitely. This is done so that we can automatically recognize and approve the comments that follow, instead of keeping them in a queue.
For users who register on our website, we also store the personal data they enter in their user profile. All users can view, edit or delete their personal data at any time (except their username). The administrators of this site may also view and edit this information.
What are your rights over your data
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you may request to obtain an extracted file of the personal data we hold, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request the deletion of the personal data we hold. This does not include data that we are required to comply with for administrative, legal or security reasons.
